Description

Eureka's Counselor in Training (CIT) Program is designed for rising high school juniors and seniors (2025-2026 school year) who are eager to develop leadership skills, gain professional experience, and make a positive impact in their community. As a CIT, you'll support certified teachers in delivering engaging STEM workshops, assist small groups of students, and ensure a safe and inclusive environment during both educational and recreational activities.

Program Highlights:

  • Leadership Development: Participate in teacher training sessions and receive leadership training to enhance your professional growth.
  • Volunteer Service: Accumulate volunteer hours that qualify you for the President's Volunteer Service Award, with recognition levels based on hours completed:
    • Bronze: 100-174 hours
    • Silver: 175-249 hours
    • Gold: 250+ hours
    • Lifetime: 4,000 hours
  • CPR Certification: All CITs will be certified in CPR, ensuring preparedness in case of emergencies.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Outstanding CITs demonstrating responsible volunteer service will receive letters of recommendation to support future endeavors.
